Corina Jones
As a Safe Visitation & Exchange Facilitator, Corina helps provide a safe, secure, and inviting environment for individual families with a history of domestic violence to visit and maintain valuable relationships between all parents and children.
Corina has worked in social services for ten years and previously facilitated safe visits with an agency out of Vancouver, Washington. Corina was drawn to working in social services because she finds helping people overcome barriers very fulfilling and enriching in her own life. Her favorite part of working with families is seeing the children interacting with their parents and building unbreakable bonds. She also enjoys assisting parents with resources, mentoring, and coaching.
Corina loves her work and strives to use a trauma-informed lens daily. She loves seeing people thrive as parents in visitation and feels it’s important work as children love both parents, even though the parents are no longer together. Corina finds that building rapport with people comes very naturally to her.
She is particularly proud of her work as a Rent Well Facilitator where she provided education on how to overcome evictions and background issues and be desirable tenants. All graduates received cash deposits for their rental deposits.
Corina holds an associate degree in Mental Health, Social Services, and Addictions Counseling and is on her way to earning a Bachelor of Criminal Justice. In addition, she has been trained extensively in trauma-informed care, domestic violence, traditional health care, peer support, youth support, and suicide prevention.
Outside of work, Corina most enjoys playing board games with her family. She also designs and builds stained glass pieces for her home and as gifts to friends and family.
